Public Transfers Overview

A public access file transfer can be viewed and downloaded by anyone entering an email address and the password ‘Anonymous’ on your Info Exchange website. This practice is helpful when accepting bids for projects, where contractors can easily access your documents from Info Exchange.

To minimize the risk that documents may have been inadvertently posted for public access, you should regularly review your Info Exchange server activity. Newforma administrators can do this by frequently monitoring the contents of the Transfers tab in Project Center Administration activity center and looking for transfers with public access.

Public transfers can be viewed in the Public Transfers log.
