Add Project Email Address dialog box

Use this dialog box to create a project email address for the project. Email sent to this address will be filed into the project. The information entered in the Prefix, Project Identifier, and Domain fields is used in email addressing to build the email address in the Project Email Address field.

Prefix

The prefix is text that can be used in front of the email address you are creating here. If the Require Each Project Email Address to Have a Prefix checkbox in the Configure Project Email Mailbox dialog box is marked, you must select  a prefix for the email address.

Project Identifier

This is the text that comes before the @ sign in the email address. You can either select an option from the drop-down list or enter your own identifier. The identifiers suggested in the drop-down list are created from the project name and number.

Domain

This is the text that comes after the @ sign in the email address. Select an option from the drop-down list. The items in the drop-down list come from the Project Email Address Domains field in the Configure Project Email Mailbox dialog box.

Project Email Address

This field displays the project email address based on the settings entered in the field above. Click OK if you want to use the email address. You can edit it if necessary.

 

To access this dialog box

Click Add from the Project Email section of the Edit Project Settings dialog box Admin tab.
