Create Building Element/Create Linked Building Element dialog box

This dialog box is titled Create Linked Building Element if it accessed from Newforma Project Information Link.

Use this dialog box to add a building element to the Building Models and Elements activity center, or to create a linked building element from Newforma Project Information Link.

Name

Enter the name of the building element.

Category

Enter the building element's category.

Author

Click to open the Choose a Project Team Member dialog box to select the building element's author.

Members

Click to open the Choose a Project Team Member dialog box to select the project team members involved with the building element.

Number

Enter a number for the building element.

 

Description tab/Email Log tab/Supporting Documents tab/Related Items tab/Change Log tab

Refer to the Building Models and Elements activity center for a description of these tabs.

Keywords

Click to open the Choose Keywords dialog box to apply keywordsIn Project Center, keywords are words you can add to items to use for filtering. When you add keywords, they appear in the Keywords column of the corresponding Project Center activity centers. You can then filter the list of items using the keywords to quickly find the items you are looking for.  to the building element.

Click to spell check the fields in this dialog box. If any mistakes are found, the Spelling dialog box opens with spelling suggestions.

 

To access this dialog box

You can access this dialog box in the following ways:

• Click Create Element from the Tasks panel of the Building Models and Elements activity center.

• Click Building Elements > Link to Newforma Element from Newforma Project Information Link.
