Modify Space Type Definition dialog box

Use this dialog box to modify the definition for a space type. A space type is a keyword used to describe an ad hoc collection of rooms.

Name

Enter a name for the space type.

Data Sheet

Click the button to open the Select Data Sheet dialog box to locate a file containing data about the space type.

If extended properties were added using the Utilities > Edit Extended Properties task, they will appear as additional fields (in addition to the fields above) in this dialog box. There could be many other fields, depending on how many have been added.

Keywords

Click to open the Choose Keywords dialog box to assign keywords to the space type.

 

To access this dialog box

You can access this dialog box in the following ways:

• Select a space type, then click Modify from the Tasks panel of the Spatial Index activity center.

• Click Spatial Index, View Space Type, then select a linked enclosure from a Revit model in Autodesk Revit.
