Select Spreadsheet dialog box

Use this dialog box to locate and open a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet from which to import items into the activity center you are currently using (or to import project data if you are creating new projects).

Project List

If the project you want to add the file from does not appear in the this column, click to open the Select a Project dialog box to select the project.

My Computer

Click to access the Open dialog box if you want to add the files from any Windows folder outside of Project Center.


Look In

Select the project folder in which the file is located. A list of folders in the project is listed. When you select the folder, the files from that folder are listed, including the names, types, sizes, modification dates, and the full paths to the files.

File Name

The name of the file selected.

Files of Type

You can only use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.


Click to import the project items from the spreadsheet into Project Center. After the import process finishes, the Import Log dialog box opens, which lists any errors that occurred.

You can access this dialog box in the following ways:

        You can access this dialog box by selecting the Import Spreadsheet (or Utilities > Import Spreadsheet) task from various activity centers and dialog boxes throughout Project Center.

        By clicking Import from the Batch Project Creation dialog box.
