Add/Update Contacts from Global Address List dialog box

Use this dialog box to select contacts from the Microsoft Exchange Global Address List to add to the Project Center Server contacts database. Mark the checkboxes of the contacts you want to add, then click OK.

If you select a contact that is already in the contacts database, the contact's information will be updated.

If you select a contact that was originally added manually, the Source column will change from Manual to Global Address List, and will then be updated automatically if the Enable Periodic Synchronization checkbox is marked in the Project Email and GAL Sync tab of the Project Center Administration activity center Servers tab.

When you import contacts from the Global Address List, Project Center cannot read the status, so the Status field will be editable. All imported contact statuses will initially be set to Active by default.

1   Contact fields that are synced from the Global Address List will be disabled and cannot be edited anywhere in Project Center.

1   Contacts synced from the Global Address List cannot be synced from any other source, such as Deltek Vision.

Filter All Columns

You can filter by any text that appears in any of the columns below. For example, if you know the name (or part of the name) of the contact that you are searching for, enter at least part of the name in this field. The Items list updates automatically as you type. For example, if the name you are searching for has the letter m somewhere in any column, enter m in this field. The list will be narrowed down to only names that have the letter m somewhere in one of the columns.
