Modify Custom Layout dialog box

Use this dialog box to edit a custom field layout by applying custom fields that were created in the Add Custom Field dialog box to projects, project team members, global contacts, or global companies. The layout will be used as the basis for the Custom Fields tabs for those items.

Applies To

Indicates the Project Center item the layout applies to:

        Global Companies applies the custom field columns to the Project Center Administration Activity Center Companies tab and the Custom Fields tab to all related company dialog boxes.

        Global Contacts applies the custom field columns to the Project Center Administration Activity Center Contacts tab as well as the Project Team activity center and the  Custom Fields tab to all related contacts and project team dialog boxes.

        Project Settings applies the custom field columns to the My Project Center activity center and the Project Center Administration activity center Projects tab.

        Project Team applies the custom field columns only to the Project Team activity center and the Custom Fields tabs to any related dialog boxes (but not the Project Center Administration Activity Center Contacts tab or contacts dialog boxes).

Custom Fields

This area lists the custom fields that have been created. For a description of the columns, see the Add Custom Field dialog box topic.

Add Field

Click to open the Add Custom Field dialog box to create a custom field.

Modify Field

Click to open the Modify Custom Field dialog box to edit the selected custom field.

Remove Field

Click to delete the selected custom field.

Layout for Dialog Box

Use this area to position the custom fields, which is how they will appear in the Custom Fields tabs of the dialog boxes related to the type of item chosen in the Applies To field above. Drag the custom fields from the Custom Fields section above and place them in the desired location, which is where they will appear in the dialog boxes - in the left or right column, and at the top or bottom of the column.

Add Group

Click to add a new group to the selected area of the tab. You can then add related custom fields to the group to keep them together.

Modify Group

Click to edit the name of the selected group.

Remove Group

Click to delete the selected group.

 

To access this dialog box

Select a custom field layout from the Project Center Administration Activity Center Custom Fields tab, then click Modify Custom Layout from the Tasks panel.
