Close Supplemental Instruction dialog box

Use this dialog box to close a supplemental instruction without providing a response.

Closed By

Click to open the Choose a Project Team Member dialog box to choose the project team member who closed the supplemental instruction.

Team Members

Click to open the Choose a Project Team Member dialog box to select the project team members who can access the information from the close action.

Date

Select the date the supplemental instruction was closed.

Action

Select the action taken from the drop-down list.


Remarks tab

Add any additional remarks in this tab.

 

Associated files tab

Add any files to associate with the close action.

Add Files

Click to open the Add Files dialog box to locate and attach a file to the supplemental instruction.

Add Folder

Click to open the Select Folder dialog box to add a folder and all of its contents to the supplemental instruction.

Remove

Click to remove the selected file from the supplemental instruction.

Name

The name of the file.

Type

The file's type.

Size

The file's size.

Date Modified

The date the file was last modified.

Path

The full path to the location of the file.

Keywords

Any keywords applied to the file.

Save Record Copy in

Select the location in which to save a record copy of the file transfer in this location as a .ZIP file. You can enter a new location by clicking the icon.

 

Email Log tab

Use this tab to add email messages to the supplemental instruction.  You can drag and drop email messages from Microsoft Outlook and Windows Explorer into this tab.

The number in parentheses indicates the number of email messages filed in the supplemental instruction.

You can copy and paste email messages from Microsoft Outlook and Windows Explorer into this tab.

Double-click an email message to open it in Microsoft Outlook. From there, you can reply to or forward the message.

To preview email messages, right-click in the list and select Preview >.

 

Add

Click to open the Add Email Messages dialog box select an email message to add to the current supplemental instruction.

Remove

Click to remove the selected email message from the supplemental instruction.

 

Related Items tab

Use this tab to relate Project Center items to the supplemental instruction.

Relate to >

Click to select an existing project item and establish a relationship between it and the supplemental instruction. This gives you the ability to link two items that are related together. (For example, a markup session that is related to a supplemental instruction.) Select Another Project Item to open the Select Project Item dialog box to locate an item that is not in the list.

Share with External > Yes

Click to allow the selected items to be shared with external project team members through Info Exchange.

Remove

Click to unlink and remove the selected project item from the Related Items tab.

Removing a related item from the Related Items tab does not remove it from the database.


Keywords

Click to open the Choose Keywords dialog box to apply keywords to the supplemental instruction.

Click to spell check the fields in this dialog box. If any mistakes are found, the Spelling dialog box opens with spelling suggestions.

Create Related

Mark this checkbox to create a new contract management or action item that is automatically related to this item, and then select the type of item you want to create from the drop-down list. The corresponding Create Contract Management Item dialog box (or the Identify an Action Item dialog box) will open after you close this item.

 

To access this dialog box

You can access this dialog box in the following ways:

        Select a supplemental instruction, then click Close > Close from the Tasks panel of the Supplemental Instructions activity center.

        Mark the Next Action checkbox and select Close from various supplemental instruction dialog boxes.
