Search field, Search button, and Search menu
Use Project Center's powerful search feature to look for instances of text in all files within a project, selected projects, projects in your My Projects tab, archived and offline projects, project email, Google Desktop, or SharePoint (if you use them). Enter the text you are searching for, and then click the Search arrow (next to the Search button) to open a drop-down menu containing the following search options:
Current Project
Choose this option to search all files in the current project.
Project Email
Choose this option to search all .MSG and .EML files in the current project.
My Projects
Choose this option to search the current project and the projects listed in the My Projects tab of the My Project Center activity center.
Archived and Offline Projects
Choose this option to open the Select Archived and Offline Projects dialog box to select the archived and offline projects to include in the search.
Selected Projects
Choose this option to open the Select Projects dialog box to choose the projects to include in the search.
Newformant Community Site
Choose this option to search the Learn area of the Newforma Community Website for the text you entered. When you select this option, a new browser opens to www.newformant.com. The search text is passed as a parameter to the site and the search results appear on the website's Search Results page.
Google Desktop
Choose this option to search files indexed by your Google Desktop. This option is available only if you have Google Desktop installed on your system.
SharePoint
Choose this option to search files indexed on your SharePoint site. This option is available only if you use SharePoint, and its URL has been added to the current project. See SharePoint Integration Overview for more information.
1 If you are searching a SharePoint site that has a blog and/or Wiki, Project Center will search the blog and Wiki if SharePoint indexes them.
The results appear in the Search Results list of the Search Results window. Click an item in the results list to open it.
